Have you ever looked at the inside of your oven and thought "Yikes, how on earth could anyone ever clean something like that?" In this post, we'll everything you will need along with a step by step guide to restoring your oven back to a like new shine!
Like most situations, having the right tools is absolutely crucial in being able to get the job done right! In order to to get all that burnt on food bits, we recommend the following products:
Easy Off Heavy Degreaser (Yellow Can)
Glass Cleaner
Dawn Dish Soap
Green and Yellow Soft Sponge
Razor Blade
Steel Wool
Screwdriver
Paper Towel
Microfiber Towels
Start by using a razor blade to scrap off all baked on bits the best you can! Doesn't need to be perfect, we'll be back for those later.
Full spray down with Easy Off Degreaser. This product does pack a punch with a scent so do be careful with the fumes! Let set for 3-5 mins and then wipe cleaner with paper towel. This step may need to be repeated depending on how bad it really is. The razor blade is helpful here again.
After getting the majority of the bit up gunk and food, use Dawn Dish Soap and a sponge with some muscle to get our the remaining mess.
We use the steel wools for the racks, but they also can be very helpful for the entirety of the job as well.
If you are feeling really motivated, there will be times that the glass door of your oven will have a mess in between the glass. The best way to handle that is by using a screwdriver and separating the door so you can get between the panes. You can watch this video here for help on how to navigate this bit!
We always use glass cleaner at the end to ensure a sparkling clean and below you can see the results :)
